Digital Native

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday :)

According to Pensky's research, I am 100% a digital native. Being born in 1998, the internet was up and running by the time I went to school. This has helped me a ton in school, as I have never had to struggle with learning new technological skills and has allowed me to easily be an E-learning student. 

Kirschner's research says the opposite, that just because someone was born into the digital age, does not mean that they are a digital native. This means that environmental factors such as where one lives (rural, suburbs, etc.), how they were raised, and their access to technology all have an effect on whether or not they are digitally literate, not just the generation they were born into.
